The term Vermeil is used to describe high quality plated jewellery. Our Gold Vermeil jewellery is thoughtfully handcrafted using recycled sterling silver as the base metal, making each piece as sustainable as it is beautiful. Our designs are perfect for those with sensitive skin as there has been no nickel introduced during the plating process. For jewellery to be considered vermeil, the layer of gold must be at least 2.5 microns thick. However, Poppy Mac jewellery is plated to a layer of 3 microns, this enhances the durability and longevity of your pieces.

All Poppy Mac jewellery are made from the highest quality materials. It is important to use proper care when wearing your pieces to maintain the quality and longevity of your jewellery.
Remove all jewellery when participating in activities such as gardening, exercise, and cleaning using harsh chemicals.
Sterling Silver Jewellery - pieces that don’t have a gemstone can be worn in the shower and ocean. Chlorine from pools isn’t as friendly to your jewellery so make sure to remove your pieces when swimming where chlorine may be present.
Gold Vermeil Jewellery - although much stronger than standard gold plated jewellery, we recommend removing your jewellery before getting it wet as prolonged exposure will damage your pieces.
As precious metal naturally tarnishes, please use the complimentary polishing cloth your Poppy Mac jewellery arrived with.

Because our Made to Order jewellery is handmade specifically for your order, all sales are final, we do not offer return or exchange for change of mind. If there is any issue with your order please don't hesitate to contact us at admin@poppymac.com.au
When choosing the correct size, you can use our Size Guide. Although, we recommend that you get your ring sized professionally to avoid ordering the wrong size as we do not offer returns/ exchanges on Made to Order items.
